He has worked as an organizational change and strategy consultant for over 20 years with clients ranging from Fortune 100 to Global 1000, small businesses to non-profit and educational institutes. Since 2001, he has specialized in large scale enterprise transformation driven by Lean and Agile methods. He has served as senior coach and change consultant to two of the largest Agile implementations in the US over the past 7 years.
Michael has a gift for working at all levels within an organization and loves that his work allows him into the privileged role of executive advisor, mentor for middle managers, and coach for development teams. Since beginning Agile work, Michael has focused on the seminal nature of management's role in supporting and modeling the changes needed to become an Agile organization.
Michael has formal training in psychology (Master's degree), organization system coaching, Co-Active leadership coaching, and organizational behavior. He is a Certified Professional Facilitator, professional coach, and Certified Scrum Master. Michael speaks and writes frequently for industry events and publications. Michael is president of Collective Edge Consulting, llc, whose mission is to lead enterprise-level Agile transformations by working at the edge of our collective understanding.
