Course Overview
The Rational Unified Process (RUP) has influenced the software engineering community since the mid 1990's with an iterative-incremental process framework. More recently, with the release of the IBM Rational Method Composer, the process is delivered with a process authoring tool, which makes it easier to tailor RUP to your project needs. Beyond the RUP process and authoring tool, IBM offers a rigid certification process, which individuals may undergo. Organizations and individuals use this certification process to demonstrate their skills and raise the level of organizational maturity to the next level.
During this crash course, participants will not only review the essentials of the RUP, but also get the latest information about the certification procedure, including tips and tricks to prevent common pitfalls.
Each of the five subject areas of the examination will be discussed with sample exam questions. At the end of the course each student will simulate a sample examination. The results will then be analyzed and potential sources for improvements identified.
