This 4-day course is offered by Dean Leffingwell and Scaled Agile Academy (a division of Scaled Agile, Inc.) and is intended for consultants and Agile working group leaders who want to deploy the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) as part of an enterprise-wide Agile transformation.
Attendees must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in software development (15-20 preferred), at least five of which have been spent in Agile development environments (XP, Scrum, DSDM, Lean, Kanban, OpenUP) in a management, team lead, or project manager role. Relevant certifications, such as Scrum Alliance, Certified Agile Professional, Scrum.org, Lean and DSDM are strongly desired.

Leading the Lean|Agile Enterprise with
the Scaled Agile Framework™
In the first two days, you will gain the knowledge necessary to lead an enterprise agile transformation by leveraging the Scaled Agile Framework, and its underlying principles of lean thinking, and product development flow. You will leave with an understanding of how the principles and practices of the framework support Agile Teams, Agile Programs, Agile Program Portfolio Management and Agile Architecture.

In the next two days, you will gain the knowledge needed to identify, plan, and implement SAFe programs with Agile Release Trains. Further, you’ll have the briefings, artifacts and templates you need to identify the value streams, prepare the organization, launch agile programs, plan and execute the major events, and implement effective processes and measures for continuous program improvement.
In addition, to help prepare the enterprise for scaled agile implementation, you’ll receive a half-day introduction to advanced topics in Program Portfolio Management, Agile Architecture, and Lean|Agile Leadership.
