Toyota's innovative techniques for improving productivity, reducing waste, and increasing quality have revolutionized the business world. Techniques originated at or inspired by Toyota such as Just-In-Time (JIT) supply chain management, Total Quality Management (TQM), Lean Manufacturing, and others have grown to become best practices for enterprises around the world. One such technique that is starting to make waves in the project management community is called "kanban."
Kanban is used to manage the flow of work within a project, to help manage unexpected activities such as dealing with defects, to identify those on your team who are struggling with their workload and others who may have idle time, to simplify financial tracking and forecasting, and much more. It is a simple process that does not require fancy software tools or extensive training to implement. Through interactive exercises and case studies, this workshop will show project managers how they can incorporate kanban practices into their own projects.
