User Education Lead

Rally Software Development is a dynamic, growing company that provides software-driven enterprises with the knowledge, coaching and tooling needed to succeed with Agile development practices.
Due to our success, we are seeking a capable, multi-disciplinary person with experience in User Education, Training, Instructional Design or User Experience who can lead the strategy, production, and maintenance of written and multimedia training content that supports customer success with Rally products and Agile in general.
Responsibilities
- Have a vision and passion for making sure users understand how to use Rally and Agile.
- Responsible for setting the vision and definition for curriculum, architecture and education.
- Prioritize the backlog for the User Education team and act as product owner.
- Work with Customer Marketing Director to ensure content is styled, formatted, and designed consistent with the Rally brand.
- Coordinate production of multimedia content - video, documentation, and written content, including training, tutorials, and best practices.
- Work with subject matter experts in various parts of the company.
- Work with coaching staff to package prescriptive activity-based content and make it more accessible to users of Rally products.
- Define a strategy and system for content management.
- Responsible for ensuring that user education content is kept up-to-date and relevant for each new release and business initiative.
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in user education, training, instructional design or user experience with a solid background and track record with successful software product role out and user education.
- A passion for making users successful.
- Excellent writing skills.
- An eye for design.
- Ability to work with both technical producers and subject matter experts.
- Comfortable reaching across organizational groups to produce content with a matrixed team.
- Capable of leading the vision and assisting in execution. Ideally this is someone who could produce either written or multimedia content on their own, when resource constraints demand it.
- Ability to produce and evaluate content in any medium.
- Strong prioritization and leadership skills.
- Bachelor's degree.
